Beautiful are those who get up and continue on down the street though they've been beaten. Beautiful are those who can look an enemy in the eye and say "I forgive you." Beautiful are those who have given away all they can see and touch for something they hope to see and touch. Beautiful are those who give away all they have and, by prayer, petition God for what they need. Beautiful are those who have been slapped, cursed, blackballed, beaten, slandered, raped, robbed, and murdered for what they know is real.
Beautiful are those who know they cannot live on air and water and bread alone. They know there is something above all they see and can sense. They can answer the question, "what purpose have we?" They can tell you the answer to it all. When the mountains fall and crowds flee from incoming disaster, they stand up and are not shaken.
The fruit of their faith...peace, love, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, hope, joy, and self-control is evidence for what we cannot see. How beautiful to know that elements of science cannot atone for what we see. Who can say that chemical reactions are the cause of such fruit?
This is the evidence we have; it's all we need.
